ARTTODAY
Monday, December 23, 2006teoman madra http://newmediakitchen.com namoet2@gmail.com tmadra@turk.net
started with a photographic and visual access, late 1963 to be creative with technology became an adamant obsession
maybe in togetherness with new jazz within a semiconsiousness of insight being also rhythmically getting reshaped. thru
radical contemporary music.. all the new art movements of so many decades were for me all plus values... however artists
like hartung, mathieu, paul clee, mıro, kandinsky, bridget riley, man ray, pollock, wilhemn de kooning, mondrian etc became
suddenly like big masters for me just appreciatintnn.netg them as if i were doing some art beyond their achievement... next
to the kinetic art, fluxus art movements, other arts .- arte povera etc ...my photographs still were seeming like my own
personal additions to these..
in 67 i participated for one month to the 5. paris biennale, in 1980 i did workshops in graz and munich with multi media
video art shows and visited at four consecutive occasions the venice biennales from 1988 on and later ones to make
complete photo coverages
the essential basic and theoretical aspect still remaining mysterious to me as the musical fifty percent of my works is new
jazz, contemporary modern music world wide, namely jcage, ligeti, berio, boulez, xenakis, penderecki etc and techno music
and other electronic musics all constituted as most valuable constituents of the utopia multi media art today...
as for the technological landslides that were available for practicing video, EARLY COMPUTERS, present pc's and the
internet were all positive new mediatic accomodations fearlessly to rely upon. however i figured out that artistic applications
that is acquired with try and see approaches are better and further approvable. for the acquisitions of these new arenas of
sensitivities...also, like some people underline it with special care, all new environments were to be faced or attacked to as
series of new possibilities, with tolerance and quite smoothly and experimental min

güncel sorumluluk oluyor. Figüratif fotografta, fotogram ötesi deneysel islerde ve pc yazilimiyla elde edilen yeni grafik
çesitlemelerde sanat için üretilen görüntüler özellikle yeglenmistir. / Artistic concerns may very well be endeavoured with
technological tools, nowadays.. For photography one can always be creatively within the technology and search for
aesthetic results, as a new media artist and get the advantages of many possibilities

NMK clips 2006
new music selections today and new photography from teoman madra archive are chosen as art works for computer based
new media shows... pc softwares that having been practiced with are: windows movie maker, memories for tv3, sound
forge 8.0 and adobe premiere 2.0 photographs: figurative and nonfiguratives ones include as well experimental and
computer based digital compositions photo cameras and computer softwares can better be handled as new media tools
with unorthodox experimental approaches e.g. macromedia freehand 9.0, fireworks 8.0, photoshop 6.0 and netscape 4.79
/ computer based graphics, random flash light photogramms result with similar aesthetic sensitivities support multimedia
shows with expanded energy in togetherness next to both acoustic and digital new music compositions... nmk clips are to be
displayed as performance art (postmodern installations)... and as in a special concept of -purposeful purposelessnesses-
(idea from 'silence' of j cage)
new music selections for nmk clips range with a wide new musicl selectivity possibilities. composers and musicians in multi
media juxtapositions... however next to multi media targets and varieties of selections all departures from traditional archives
will seem to prove their new displays very interesting and most interactive. musical tracks of random musical selections of
new music realizations in different movem ents, various historical times, locations and other creativity instances includes
other tunes, melodies and sensitivities at quite contrasting and wonderfully amazing performances with diverse successivities
and odd coupplings that you would witness at your turns... should repetitive auditions of these rare musical performances be
realized at large and in abundance, it will only bear better consequences and less boredom
(interdisciplinary constituent ingredients of nmk multi media clips that provide examples of computer based least standard
and further anarchic, interactive, alternative art entertainments... to escape the chaotic, mechanized routine setup of the new
technology city life and highly computerized surroundings of modern conditions today, your simple and only chance is
definitely here... just be creative and playful with all your updated softwares and new tools towards random creativities and
for joy for some changes),,,

SYNERGY: This kind of thing happens in improvisation. Two things running concurrently in haphazard fashion suddenly synchronize autonomously and sling you forcibly into a new phase.
 Cornelius Cardew (1971:xvii)
Buckminster Fuller describes synergy as the behavior of whole systems unpredicted by the behavior of their parts taken separately. Adopting this general orientation, the theoretical physicist Hermann Haken (1987) has introduced the concept of synergetics to name a new unifying trend in science.1 The basic goal of synergetics is to explore the general ideas, laws, and principles of self-organization across various fields of human knowledge, from the natural sciences to the humanities. The world as we know it has seemingly come into being and developed through an endless chain of self-organizing processes, from the formation of galaxies and stars to the development of biological and social structures. A synergetic style of thinking and inquiry is beginning to infuse ever wider fields of human knowledge.
teoman madra: MULTIMEDIA ARTS BEING INTERDISCIPLINARY PROVIDING INTERACTIVE APPLICATIONS BETWEEN e.g. NEW MUSIC, MODERN DANCE AND PHOTOGRAPHY and MAYBE MINIMALLY DESIGNED SPACES .... architectural creative designs for museums; dance platforms, audio-visual performances do need creative designs both online and virtual or also real as related communications items...
ACTUALLY THE WORKSHOP CONTRIBUTIONS DO NOT NEED TO BE MOST RADICAL AND EXACTLY WITHIN STRICT TRACKS OF MIND... ALL INPUTS FOR INTERACTIVE POSSIBILITIES OF INTERDISCIPLINARY NEW MEDIA ART WORKS WILL ALSO BE FREELY WELCOME... RESPONDING WITH CREATIVE CONTRIBUTIONS WILL NEVER BE MISJUDGED WHILE IT WILL SMOOTHLY BE SUBJECTIVELY FALLING IN LINE WITH THE OTHER IN SITU STATEMENTS AND ART WORKS INDEED AND WILL FALL IN LINEARITY IN THE OVERALL PERSPECTIVE OF ARMAS
UCSD is ORGANIZED REAERCH UNIT to foster advanced research and production at the crossroads between digital technology and new art forms. Current areas of interest include interactive networked multimedia, virtual reality, computer-spatialized audio, and live performance techniques for computer music and graphics.
TODAY THERE IS AN ENTIRE AREA OF ART IN WHICH ARTISTS WORK ON COMPUTERS A LOT. BUT THEY NEED TO PENETRATE THE SOFTWARE MÖRE OR LESS/
NOW THE MACHINES MIGHT BLIND US -THEY HAVE SO MUCH TO TELL....they create their own kind of presence - digital technology is like the icing of the cake - Today Art is being instrumentalized beyond recognition Maybe the pride of contemporary arts has masked its failure and weakness... you have the inflation of the dealers ... art is becoming incinillary to capitalism and turns into some of a black hole - there is no more an artist life left to him
But you can always be creatively within the technology if you want to be the new media artist or a net artist of the cyberspace
RECENTLY ART HAS BECOME UNCULTIVATED
we have returned to a nihilism of another kind, or consumerism or technological revolution... contemporary art which no longer permits interpretation except for the accident of knowledgeVideo images and infographic images are images that speak... the sky has the color of TV Synchronizing the vision and the audition becomes a challenge mostly in realtime or in interactivity...IN THE CINEMA WHEN THE IMAGE STARTED TO SPEAK THEN PLATO'S CAVE AND SYBEL'S CAVE GOT SUPERIMPOSED... THE VISUAL ARTS THUS YIELDED TO THE AUDIO-VISIBLE ENDING UP IN A PROCESS OF SIMULTANEOUS INTERACTION THROUGH TELE-ACTION... CONCEPTUAL ART WAS AN ATTEMPT TO BRING ART INTO THE PHILOSOPHY .... frank gehry is not any longer conceptual artist and is back to formalism... AESTHETICS HAS BECOME A MACHINE PHENOMENON... BUT WE MUST NOT LYE BEFORE THE MACHINES WE MUST FIGHT THEM.....
herefore it has become crucial to have ongoing debates on the type of research and technology we want to develop, and on how to apply it. The objective of Science Café Copenhagen is to create a public forum for debate. We wish to disseminate and mediate information on scientific issues, as well as to discuss their impact in a broader societal context. Having said so, we do not believe that such communication can be effectively carried out through didactic lectures to a wider clientele of already interested people. The underpinning concept of the Science Café is that knowledge dissemination and mediation should reach a broad public, which involves reciprocal commitment.i
in short, fundamentalists have become no different than the "godless" Stalinist Communists, to whom everything was permitted since they perceived themselves as direct instruments of their divinity, the Historical Necessity of Progress Toward Communism.
What makes modern Europe unique is that it is the first and only civilization in which atheism is a fully legitimate option, not an obstacle to any public post. Atheism is a European legacy worth fighting for, not least because it creates a safe public space for believers.

Velocity' is the key word of his thinking, the post-modernity treasure, and the modern society capital. Reality is no longer defined by time and space, but in a virtual world, in which technology allows the existence of the paradox of being everywhere at the same time and being nowhere at all. The loss of the site/city/nation in favour of globalisation implies also the loss of rights and of democracy that is contrary to the immediate and instantaneous nature of information. McLuhan's global village is nothing but a 'World Ghetto'.
